Chris Rial joined Joule Processing in 2015, leveraging his experience in the upstream, midstream, marketing and processing sectors to develop value for operators on all sides of the industry. Chris has been associated with the production, processing and transportation of crude oil, natural gas and NGLs, and the associated equipment.
Prior to Joule Processing, Chris served as the Manager for Environmental Compliance and Projects for Sunoco Logistics (NYSE: SXL). In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of permitting for capital projects, business development and asset integration as well as forward planning for future development of assets. This included the construction or purchase of truck stations, rail terminals and marine terminals along the Gulf Coast. Prior to Sunoco Logistics, Chris worked for Texon LP, where he developed the HES program for its crude oil operations as well as working in operations, assisting the business development, supply and marketing groups. Sunoco Logistics purchased the crude oil division of Texon in 2011. Chris was introduced to the oil and gas industry through Chesapeake Energy’s Gulf Coast Production Division (NYSE: CHK). While at Chesapeake, he was involved with the sizing and selection of treatment, processing and storage equipment and looked for opportunities to bring more value to the wellhead through the installation of vapor recovery systems.
Chris is a member of the Houston Gas Processors Association (GPA), Texas Oil & Gas Association (TxOGA), International Liquids Terminals Association (ILTA). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in bioenvironmental science from Texas A&M University and a Global Energy MBA with honors from the University of Houston.
