Michael Redmond

Process Engineering Consultant

Michael Redmond joined Joule Processing in 2012, bringing 28 years of experience providing value-added solutions in oil and gas, refinery, utilities and petrochemical processes. His deep engineering background includes knowledge of process engineering principles and optimization applied to operations and equipment design, including detailed heat and material balance preparation using HYSYS, Pro II, ProMax/TSWEET and Aspen Plus; equipment sizing and specification; P&ID/PFD preparation; FEL/FEED analysis; HAZOPS; and commissioning.

Prior to joining Joule, from 2008 to 2011, Michael led the process engineering group at Gastech Engineering, LLC, with a particular emphasis on growing and supporting international business in India, Middle East and Asia. From 2005 to 2008, he held lead process engineering positions with Alliance Engineering, Exterran and Jacobs Engineering, working in both upstream and downstream oil and gas processing technology. In addition, Michael worked for many years at Aspen Technology, where he was engaged in advanced process control and real-time online optimization.

Michael is a member of the Houston Gas Processors Association (GPA) and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Oklahoma. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
